  • Honey – 2 tablespoons
  • Zest of a mandarin
  • Seeds of anise – ½ teaspoon
  • Sesame oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Sea salt – 1 pinch

Preparation

Heat the sesame oil in a pan over low heat. Add the oats, cinnamon and grated coconut. Mix gently for about 15 minutes, until you see that the ingredients have absorbed all the oil and have taken on a golden and crispy appearance. Then add the raisins, peanuts, anise and salt. Remove the ingredients for a few minutes. The ideal is to use a wooden spoon.

Then add honey and mandarin zest, and turn off the heat. Keep mixing to make sure all the ingredients are blended with honey. Finally, pour everything into a pan and press the mixture well until a very compact mass will come. Put in the fridge and let it rest until it has cooled and hardened. Then cut the dough with a knife, giving the bars the shape and size you want.

Keep in mind that it will be necessary to let your preparation cool down for as long as necessary, otherwise it will crumble when it is cut.
